Venison Nachos

Difficulty level = Very Basic

Cook time = About 15 minutes

1-1.5 pounds of ground venison 🦌

1 onion 🧅

2 tablespoons of butter 🧈

2/3-3/4 cup of water 💧

1-1.25 ounces of your favorite taco seasoning mix 🌮

Your favorite Tortilla Chips 🇲🇽

Your favorite cheese 🧀

Your favorite toppings 🥗

We recommend:

•Fresh chopped lettuce 🥬

•Fresh chopped tomatoes 🍅

•Fresh chopped onion 🧅

•Fresh chopped green/red/orange peppers 🌶

•Black beans 🌯

•Corn 🌽

•Avocado 🥑

•Sour cream 🐄

  1. Preheat skillet over a medium high heat.

  2. Chop butter into cubes and add to skillet.

  3. Chop onion and add to skillet once it’s heated up and the butter is melted. The onions should snap and sizzle when you toss them into the butter. Stir occasionally to prevent burning. Cook onion until caramelized and it becomes semi-translucent (this only take a couple minutes.)

  4. Add the ground venison to the skillet. Combine with onion and butter, mixing on occasion to prevent burning. Cook until ground venison is browned.

  5. Add your favorite taco seasoning to skillet.

  6. Add water to the skillet.

  7. Stir the contents of the skillet well until everything is evenly mixed together and thickened up.

  8. Plate/bowl up your favorite tortilla chips and layer the ground venison on top.

  9. Add your favorite cheese and toppings on top.

  10. Chow down.

Side note: Substituting tortilla chips with taco shells, quickly changes this into a “Venison Tacos” recipe.🌮

Good luck and happy plotting!
